Coronary Heart Disease
Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a narrowing of the small blood vessels that supply blood and oxygen to the heart. This is the result of the accumulation of plaques within the walls of the coronary arteries that supply the muscle of the heart with oxygen and nutrients. The deposition of the plaque in the lumen decreases the diameter of the artery. It is sometimes also called coronary heart disease (CHD).
To prevent CAD follow the Steps Towards Traditional Mediterranean Diet on this site.

Research is showing that an immune response to the plaque in the coronary artery may break off part of the plaque. The pieces of broken plaque may cause heart attach or stroke. That is why TMD & Lifestyle is so crucial in preventing and reducing the risk of developing coronary heart disease and other diseases/conditions; go to Consider the Facts on this site to learn more.
